Trabber blog in English

18 March 2008

This is the first post in this new Trabber Blog in English.

From now on, we will use this blog to post in English about all the news relevant to Trabber users outside Spain. And we will keep using the original blog to post about news for users in Spain.

We have migrated all the English posts in the original blog to this one.  This is why this post doesn’t really look like the first one.

LTU air fares on Trabber

17 September 2007

We have added air fares from the low cost airline LTU to Trabber. LTU is a german airline that was acquired some months ago by Air Berlin, one of the leading low cost airlines in Europe. The company has many routes throughout Europe and also offers transatlantic flights to America and Asia.

We believe this new development will help to improve Trabber’s results. If you have any feedback or comment please contact us via email.

2 travel agencies added to Trabber US

5 September 2007

We have added 2 new travel agencies to Trabber US: Hotwire and Last Minute Travel.

This is the full list of providers for the US version of Trabber.

Filtering by airport or company

8 August 2007

Trabber results page now supports filtering of the flights by several criteria: provider website, origin airport and destination airport.

Filters screenshot

You will find the filters in the right column of the results page. Just clicking in a checkbox hides the results of the corresponding company (or airport). And the opposite occurs when clicking on the link labeled only: just the flights from this provider or airport will be displayed.

We hope that this new feature will help you to find the best flights even faster.

New logo

28 June 2007

Trabber has a new logo!

Trabber new logo

It has been created by Mike Rohde from MakaluMedia.

We have been working on it for several months, doing iterations from the black and white sketches to the final color logo. We are very pleased with the end result. Mike is really good at this. We first knew about him through a post that describes the process he follows for designing a logo, and then Eduardo confirmed Mike was the right person for the job.

So, what do you think about the new logo ?

Trabber United States

2 June 2006

We have just released a beta of Trabber for users from the States. Give it a try and let us know what you think about it: Trabber U.S. beta

Hope you find it useful if you are looking for cheap flights in the U.S.  Trabber started in Spain some months ago followed by Germany.  It has been very well received by users from both countries.
At the moment, Trabber US searches three major online agencies (Orbitz, Expedia and Priceline) and also all the airlines from Europe included in the Spanish and German versions (Iberia, Lufthansa, etc.).

From now on we will work on including American airlines to the list of providers.

Opodo.de flights in Trabber Deutschland

28 April 2006

We just added opodo.de to the companies in which Trabber Deutschland searches. With this addition, Trabber in Germany starts getting better coverage and is closer to going out of beta. It currently searches in 3 online agencies (Expedia and ebookers are the other ones).

Trabber in English

16 April 2006

You can now use Trabber in English. It is available both in Trabber España and Trabber Deutschland.

You will find language selection links at the top right corner of your browser.

Trabber interface changes

8 April 2006

Today we have deployed a new Trabber version with several changes, mainly in the UI area. These are the most significant ones:

  • The most obvious, new colors in the results page. These are more consistent and improve readability.
  • Now one-click searches are available both for 1 and 2 days before or after the current dates. Until now you could only search for flights one day after or before the date.
  • Valid XHTML. You probably don’t care about this, but it simplifies maintenance and improves consistency and… I like standards!
  • Results sidebar (last searches and web list) now moved to the right. This improves clarity.

As usual, let me know what you think about these changes. These days I am trying to close the interface (at least for a while) so that I can focus in adding new providers to the search engine.

Trabber forum in English

6 March 2006

I have created a support/discussion forum for Trabber users. The forum is addressed mainly to German users, since this is the only country where Trabber is available besides Spain.
